Trying to Find a Personal Trainer in Orange County? 5 Things You Should Know
If you're looking to find a personal fitness trainer in Orange County California there are a few things you should know.
1. Not all personal trainers are created equal, to some it's just a job, to others it's a career. Find one who absolutely loves personal training and has made a career out of it. Interview the trainer for a few minutes before hiring them.
2…. Find a personal trainer you have a lot in common with. If you're a peaceful new age type, you might not resonate with a steroided out body builder…you might find you enjoy training with someone who has more of a yoga type background. If you're an ADHD type 25 year guy you might not want to hire 55 mother of four to be your trainer. Getting in shape can usually take a number of months so make sure you hire someone you like.
3. Find a personal trainer that's located no more than 30 minutes from where you are. If you live or work in Orange County and will be traveling to Oceanside 4 times per week to go to the gym it's going to get old. The exception would be if you only meet with your trainer once or twice a week, then the extra drive might be worth it.
4. Find a personal trainer who specializes in your goals. Get a specialist. If you're a female looking to lose 30 pounds of fat, don't get a trainer who focuses on helping men get buffed out. If you're trying to improve your golf swing, don't get a trainer who specializes in helping people recover from injuries. If you're pregnant, don't get a personal trainer who specializes in hardcore boot camp style workouts. You wouldn't go to a cosmetic surgeon specializing in breast augmentation to give you a triple bypass heart surgery…you get the point.
5. Find out how busy they are. Usually the best personal trainers are busy. With the rare exceptions of the dedicated trainer just starting out, the trainer who just moved to the area or the instructor who chooses not be busy because of personal value preferences the best personal trainers in Orange County are busy…especially because there is such a demand for good trainers in this area.
