I was always tired, had to contend with miserable pain, and was struggling every day. I didn’t even really realize in how bad of shape I was in. Until one day I happened to be exiting a Rubio’s Mexican restaurant when I caught my reflection in a nearby mirror.
I was flabbergasted by what I saw.
I didn’t want to feel the way I did and look the way I looked any more. That night I an epiphany: I was going to get fit no matter what.
People laughed when I told them about my new mission in life, but I just brushed them off. I picked up a few tips from a fitness magazine, and went to work exercising as often as I could.
I worked really hard, barely being able to walk to my car after my workouts I was so sore. But after months of this, nothing happened fitness wise.
Frustrated, I was almost driven to the breaking point. I knew it had to possible to lose weight and gain muscle quickly, and I was going to concentrate all my energies into finding out how.
I picked up every piece of writing or research that I could get my hands on, literally reading until I couldn’t stay awake every night.
I was stunned by what I learned. Not only did most people have the wrong idea about health and fitness, but it seemed like most personal trainers didn’t either.
Taking everything I learned, I concocted a brand new fitness plan for myself and tried again.Look what happened on this attempt
One hundred and forty three pounds of pure body fat melted on my body and I gained muscle at a rate that even I didn’t know as possible.
The transformation was so quick and dramatic that some people didn’t even recognize me.
The guys who did recognize me started inquiring about I did it. Proud of my accomplishment, I started doling out all of the information I picked up during my countless hours of research. At the time, I thought I was just being a helpful friend, but those brief chats would lead my next major life change.
Months later, the people who took my advice would excitedly walk up to me or call me, telling me how grateful they were for finally giving them the information that they needed to really slim down and get fit.
It felt fantastic to help people end the miserable cycle of frustration that people experience all over the country in health clubs.
With the help a little encouragement of others, I decided I would make personal training my full time occupation. I earned my fitness certificate and started the Positively Fit Personal Training System.
