Sgt. Fitness’ Boot Camp


This is not an aerobics class held out doors so it can be called a Boot Camp.

Nor is it lead by some wet behind the ears trainer that doesn’t know what end of a weapon the round comes out of. It is a military-style exercise program (also known as a Centerville Boot Camp) that focuses on accountability and lifestyle improvement for lasting change.

Lead by a U. S. Army veteran who is a certified personal trainer, and knows what end of a weapon the round comes out. This outdoor exercise program done three times per week, provides a personal-training like experience for a fraction of the cost.

Classes meet three times per week from 6 am to 7 am.

Class size is limited.

Who’s Sgt. Fitness?

Steve Ferguson, also known as Sgt. Fitness, spent four years of service in the United States Army’s elite Honor Guard (The Old Guard)., stationed at Ft. Myer, Virginia, and was called back to duty in support of Desert Storm/Shield.

Steve has 19 years of experience as a personal trainer / centerville boot camp instructor, and is certified through the National Federation of Professional Trainers. An accomplished distance runner in his younger days, Steve came to the realization that he could be even more fit in less time, while preserving his knees, through high intensity, low impact, military-style calistentic exercises. Thus, the Sgt. Fitness style of training was born.
